From Victor to Victory: all of Belgium stands behind Campenaerts

Next week, Victor Campenaerts will attempt to break the World Hour Record at the Velodromo Bicentenario d’Aguascalientes in Mexico. mortierbrigade and Lotto have come up with an original way of supporting him in his attempt. According to a video posted on Facebook, we can give Victor symbolic support by sharing a ‘Y’ and transforming Victor to Victory. Everybody’s welcome to support Campenaerts using hashtag #Victor2VictorY. In this way, we can inspire him as he pursues this sporting achievement.
Until now, the Hour Record has been held by Britain’s Bradley Wiggins, who travelled 54.526 km at a velodrome in London. That’s how far Victor Campenaerts has to ride to break the 2015 record.
In a video posted on Facebook, Lotto Soudal appeals to everyone to support Victor by giving him a ‘Y’.
At next Sunday’s Paris-Roubaix, Ridley – Lotto Soudal’s official bicycle supplier – will be supporting this appeal by replacing the ‘Y’ in their logo with Campenaerts’ distinctive moustache on all its team bicycles.
And other athletes are also supporting Victor by sharing their ‘Y’ on social media. Whether you symbolically share a letter from your name or simply post a photo online, the idea is to demonstrate that all of us together are behind Victor Campenaerts.
With hashtag #Victor2VictorY, all fans can help make this young rider from Antwerp a legend.
Depending on the weather, the record attempt will take place on 16 or 17 April at the Aguascalientes velodrome at an elevation of 1,885 m.
